Varya Pavlova aka Lisokot is Moscow based conceptualist singer and poet responsible for a wide range of musical performances. In the age of 12 she has already been a voice of the choir in one of the most famous Soviet junior ensemble named after Loktev and traveled alot around Europe and post-soviet countries. In the age of 22 she has graduated fine arts school (Моscow State Stroganov Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts) as an industrial designer, but at this point she mostly works by her voice in the area of contemporary art. Being a notable figure of russian underground scene, Lisokot performed at different art spaces of Tokyo, Paris, Berlin, Mexico City, Tel Aviv and New York, experimental events and festivals like RomaEuropa in Italy, contemporary art centers of Moscow and other russian cities, the main project of 5th Moscow Biennale for Contemporary Art and Manifesta 10 in St. Petersburg. She is also involved in several collaborations with influential figures of experimental electronic music.
