Fragments of Life
Gallery 21 would like to invite you to the opening of the solo exhibition „Fragments of Life” by Alexander Pogorzhelsky on the 17th of September at 5pm.
Alexander Pogorzhelsky graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA, Moscow) and is a member of the Moscow Union of Artists.
The talking name of the exhibition indicates that Alexander’s paintings are depicting everyday life. The author himself says: „In my paintings I document my glimpse on the things which are happening everyday: weekly classes at the gym, shower, work in the garden or meat cutting. I am interested in distinction between ordinary predictability of daily activities and beauty, uniqueness of each moment. Pictures are deliberately fragmentary, that is why the viewer is literally looking at the objects with my eyes, being directly involved in the process shown”.
Artist’s vision on the contemporary art coincides with the views of Gallery 21, as originality, skill and freedom are driving contemporary art development.
Opening of the exhibition „Fragments of Life” will be held on the 17th of September at 5pm at Pugovishnikov pereulok, 11/3.
Private preview will be held on the 16th of September.
